I am a Colombian violist and music educator whose work combines orchestral performance, instrumental pedagogy, recording, and socially engaged artistic projects. I began my musical training in 2005 through the Batuta National Foundation in Pensilvania, Caldas (Colombia), and later studied viola and instrumental pedagogy at the Conservatory of the National University of Colombia with Sandra Arango and Anibal Dos Santos.
Throughout my career, I have performed with orchestras including the Nueva Filarmonía Orchestra, the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Colombia and two of the orchestras of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá. As a member of the Nueva Filarmonía Orchestra, I participated in the recording of Regreso, which received the Latin Grammy Award for Best Classical Album in 2019. My experience also includes professional recording sessions, chamber music, touring and collaborative projects across different musical settings.
Passionate about music education and community engagement, I am certified Suzuki violin and viola teacher and have taught viola through the after-school program “Tocar y Luchar Cafam Colombia.” Through the Young Entrepreneurial Leaders executive diploma with the Global Leaders Program, I developed artistic leadership skills and explored the creation of projects connecting music, education, and social impact.
In 2026, I completed
my Master of Music in Curatorial, Critical, and Performance Studies through The Orchestra Now (TŌN) at Bard College, where I was a full-fellowship musician from 2023 to 2026. During this time, I performed as both tutti and principal violist at venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, the Fisher Center at Bard, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, while participating in orchestral, educational, and recording projects.
Based in New York State, I continue to build a career that bridges performance, teaching, and creative collaboration, with a particular interest in projects that use music as a means of connection, learning, and cultural exchange.
